The band SULFERON was yet unknown to me, fortunately I was contacted by Typhonas to change this state of affairs. In this one-man army Typhonas plays all instruments and does the vocals as well. Sulferon spreads their unholy sounds since 2002 and had various members who accompanied the band on its path. "No bastard saviour" is SULFERONS sixth full-length album and it's a total killer release. Although I am very underground-orientated sometimes I can't believe how much cool stuff exists in the depths of some rotten cellars, haha.
"No bastard saviour" is a must have for all people who are into fast Swedish bands such as Marduk, Dark Funeral or The Abyss (who did two great very underrated albums back in the 90ies) for example. It's fast, hatefilled, blasphemous and angry black metal for all you rotten souls out there ! So you will be not suprised to hear that Sulferon did a cover of Dark Funerals "Ineaffable king of darkness" (originally released in 1998 on Dark Funerals second full-length ) on this album. It seems that Sulferon have a passion for doing covers of their favourites, so they already did covers of tracks from Darkthrone, Bathory, Immortal, Malevolent Creation and Candlemass on previous releases. Of course I often thought to Marduk in general and to their classic "Panzerdivision Marduk" in particular while listening to Sulferons newest opus. Quality-wise, SULFERON don't have to lag behind their "bigger bothers" Marduk of Dark Funeral, to be honest I even think this material is stronger than some releases of the before mentioned bands.
