REVIEW MESSE MORTUAIRE "NOCTURNAL DEMONIC VISITATION"

Messe Mortuaire from Lille, France release their first EP "Nocturnal Demonic Visitation" these days via the busy Greek label Repulsive Echo Records. I heard the band name this day for the first time, but hope to hear more soon from this diabolical death metal band, which is composed of three veterans of the French scene.

After the ominous intro and outro, created by Ludo "Evil" Lejune of Melek-Tha (who, according to Metal Archives, founded the fan clubs of Blasphemy and Sarcofago in the early '90s, which again musically fits very well with the music and attitude of Messe Mortuaire), on these first recordings of the band there are three ominous, dark-rancy pieces to be heard, which move in the intersection between Archgoat, Autopsy, old Beherit, Blasphemy and some Asphyx. At the same time Messe Mortuaire prove a certain dynamic, because besides hyperspeed attacks there are also midtempo parts and already slurping doom parts, just then the band can best unleash their potential. So, if you like dirty-dark underground death metal and the mentioned bands, you should definitely grab this one!
