First of all, let me say that I'm very glad that I was asked by Brutal Cave Productions, a real cool underground label / distro from Portugal, for doing a review for this album. I've never heard before from Ataudes, a death metal band from Buenos Aires, Argentina before, but if this never had happened I would have missed this hell of a record. The underground holds so many unexplored and hidden treasures but nevertheless it's very rarely the case that a relatively unknown and new band (Ataudes exist since 2019) surprises the listener with a death metal killer- record, which combines the best of rotten death metal bands such as Incantation, Coffins, Asphyx or Krypts. I am so excited about this record, which combines the best of death and doom metal. Ataudes debut album top quality lies in the dynamics of the record, fast and slow parts, agression and driving sounds are mixed perfectly in coherent manner. In a fair world, Ataudes would get much more attention. Forget about the ordinary and boring death metal stuff which is often promoted and support Ataudes !
